The Plugins page is where you find and manage plugins, connectors, and skills for Perplexity Computer. Open it from Plugins in the sidebar, or go to perplexity.ai/computer/plugins. If you are new to plugins, start with What are plugins?.

If you don’t see Plugins in the sidebar yet, keep using Customize → Connectors and Skills. Everything there works as before.

Before you start

  • For plugins that include skills, you need a plan that includes Perplexity Computer.

  • If you belong to an Enterprise organization, you can use only the connectors your organization has enabled for your role. See Role-based access control for connectors.

Browse the Plugins page

The page has three tabs:

  • Discover lists the plugins, connectors, and skills published by Perplexity, grouped by category. Select a category to see everything in it. If you belong to an Enterprise organization, connectors you can’t use appear dimmed with a lock icon. Hover over one to see why.

  • Organization appears when you belong to an organization and shows the plugins, skills, and connectors your organization has shared. This tab is labeled Organization, or with your organization’s name when the name is short enough.

  • Installed shows everything you have installed or connected: your plugins, your installed skills with their Enabled switches, and your connected connectors with their connection status.

Use the Plugins and Skills switch at the top of the list to show plugins and connectors or standalone skills. Search works across all three tabs.

Every plugin, connector, and skill has its own page. Open one to read its description, see the connectors and skills it includes, review its tools or files, and try the Try asking prompts. Each page has a link you can copy and share.

Install a plugin

1

Open Plugins in the sidebar

Select Plugins in the sidebar to open the Plugins page.

2

Find the plugin on Discover or by search and open its page

Browse Discover by category, or search for the plugin by name or by the tool it works with, then open its page.

3

Select Install

Its skills are installed and enabled right away.

4

Connect the plugin's connectors

If the plugin has one connector, the connection flow opens automatically. If it has several, a Connect your accounts window opens. Connect the accounts you want now. You can connect the rest later from the plugin page. Connectors you have already connected show Connected.

5

Start a session

Computer can now use the plugin’s skills and connectors. To use the plugin in a session, type / in the message box and select it under Plugins, or select Use a plugin below the homepage message box. You can also select a Try asking prompt on the plugin page. This installs the plugin if you haven’t installed it yet.

How to verify it worked

The plugin shows Installed on its page and on the Installed tab, and each connector in it shows Connected. If a connector still shows Connect, select it to finish connecting.

You can install a plugin before connecting all of its connectors. The plugin page shows Connect next to each connector that still needs connecting. Its skills and connected connectors are available, while any unconnected connector is not. A warning dot appears on the Installed tab when a connector you connected needs reconnecting.

If a connector inside a plugin shows Upgrade required, Disabled by your organization, or Unavailable, you can still install the plugin, but Computer cannot use that connector until your plan or your organization’s settings allow it. Ask your organization administrator about connector access, or see Role-based access control for connectors.

Install a connector or skill on its own

You do not need a plugin to use a connector or skill. Open its page from Discover or search and select Connect for a connector or Install for a skill. Installed skills and connected connectors appear on the Installed tab, and you can turn a skill off and on with its Enabled switch without uninstalling it.

Add your own plugin

Select Add custom on the Plugins page to add a plugin, connector, or skill that is not in the catalog. For a plugin, you can upload a .zip file that has a plugin.json manifest at its root, or import a plugin from a public GitHub repository by pasting the repository or plugin folder URL. Adding custom connectors and skills works the same way it did before; see How to use Computer Skills and Adding Custom Remote Connectors.

A plugin can include up to 32 skills, 1,000 files, and 15 remote MCP servers, and must be 20 MB or smaller when uncompressed. Servers beyond that limit, local servers, and servers that need fixed headers are skipped without an error, so check the plugin’s page after uploading to confirm the connectors you expected are listed.

If you belong to an organization, your admin controls whether you can upload or create personal plugins and skills and whether you can create plugins for the organization. Members can reference connectors that already exist but cannot create organization connectors, including through a plugin upload.

Remove a plugin, skill, or connector

Plugins, skills, and connectors are managed separately, so removing one does not always remove the others:

  • Uninstall a plugin. Open the plugin from the Installed tab and select Uninstall. This removes the plugin and uninstalls the skills that were installed with it, unless another installed plugin uses the same skill copy. Other standalone or organization skill copies are untouched. Your connectors stay connected, so other plugins and sessions that use them keep working.

  • Uninstall a skill. Open the skill copy and select Uninstall. That copy is removed everywhere it is used, including inside plugins. The plugin stays installed, and you can reinstall the skill from the plugin page later. To pause a skill without removing it, turn off its Enabled switch instead.

  • Disconnect a connector. Open the connector and select Disconnect. The connection is removed everywhere it is used, including inside plugins. Plugins and skills stay installed, and the connector shows Reconnect wherever it appears until you connect it again.

If you uploaded a plugin yourself, you can also delete it. Deleting permanently removes the plugin and its bundle.

If you are an Enterprise administrator, see Manage plugins for your organization for organization-level controls.
